Volume 28 Cover

The cover for Volume 28 has finally been released. This volume marks the start of “part two” of the Naruto series, moving approximately 2.5 years into the future. We’ll get a scan of the full cover once the volume gets released.
Also of note, Cartoon Network aired their preview for the summer/fall Toonami schedule today. A brief Naruto preview with no show dialogue was aired, looks good so far. Hopefully the dubbing studio Viz selected will do us proud.

Episode 136 Airs

Episode 136 has aired in Japan. This is the first of the new Rice Field Country filler arc, meaning new content not originally in the manga. Naruto, Sakura and Jiraiya set out! A new mission to learn the location of Hidden Sound, what new adventures will they have? Episode 136 is titled Infiltration Investigation!? The Super-S Class Mission Which Has Finally Come!.

New Movie Two Details

The official Naruto website updated with more information on movie two coming this August. Some details on more of the characters, including the villain Haido, some female adversaries [Fugai, Kamira (Camilla) and Ranke] and some other citizens. This movie is still shaping up to look way outside the Naruto universe, but maybe they can pull it off.
