It’s nice to see studio pierrot re-animate the old scenes.

Ugh. And, it looks like at least some of next week’s ep is Kakashi’s turn to lament the past.

Pathetic excuse for an episode.. Just one big flashback with filler dialogue..
May 26th, 2011 at 3:02 pm
That was one of the worst episodes I’ve ever watched. I practically skipped through the whole thing since it was all memory rubbish. I’ve been very disappointed in the latest episodes and I hope that they’ll have a turn around in the coming weeks.

Did anyone else notice the poor drawings done in this pathetic excuse for an episode?

I agree with you that flashbacks are useful to get a deeper view into the characters and their bonds, but my question is: have you read the manga? If not, I can understand what you’re saying.
In the manga these flashbacks were never shown, and I have to say that these flashbacks have been shown so many times, that they have been burned in everybody’s memory, in other words: we have known that already.
It is not that I want to speed up until the point of *..spoiler..* but if they are using background information, at least animate stuff we didn’t know yet instead of putting 2/3 maybe 4 episodes on repeat, it really downgrades the anime and it dissapoints the fans. That’s just my point of view.

100% flashbacks again… how lame

Even though it is an excuse for an episode at least they made one.Because wise man said try to learn everything about something and some about everything

Flashbacks/filler are all about keeping distance from the manga. The manga moves slower than the anime. They have to keep them far enough apart.

Everyone seems to forget that flashbacks have been in nearly every Ep. the script writers seem to think we all have short term memory lose. BUT…. Im also a die hard fan and i enjoy the odd flashback especially when iv forgotten the scene or the dialog. It emersess you into the EP and series in general, but everyone makes a valid point….Flashbacks are gettting old. There is a simple answer to it though, if its full of flashbacks dont watch it…..

You all need to get over it. Awesome manga

Thanks for your contribution, Jimjam88.
The flashbacks suck, but they’re somewhat necessary. Flashback episodes like this, and filler arcs, help provide needed distance between the manga, which I just learned is awesome, and the anime, which moves faster than the manga.

Fillers > Flashbacks please no more ugh
