An excellent tribute to kisame, it does him justice as a Shinobi rather than just a villain, honor in death is very important in Japanese culture, Samurai and Ninja alike.

good episode, theyre really improved the storytelling since the fillers ended^^
Also, loved the previews at the end, IOW the animation kicks ass! Cant wait for Konan vs. Tobi!

I wonder how long in the past it was when Kisame met Tobi/Madara. Tobi/Madara’s hair was very Madara-ish.

@4 Judging from the scene when he and itachi meet, my guess is that its maybe around the same time the uchiha clan got killed. if im not wrong thats 6-7 years before the start of the manga/anime..

That sounds about right. Am I wrong or what there a scene in which Kisame, upon seeing Tobi, refers to him as “Mizukage”? If that’s true, Tobi = Madara.

@7 Yeah he did call him Mizukage, but if you remember the non filler episodes after Pain vs Konoha part or was it Sasuke vs Itachi. And then Kisame refereed to Tobi as the Mizukage.

I think you’re right. The reason this is significant, I think, is because it ties the man in the mask to the man with the crazy Madara hair in ep. 251… That is Kisame knows both men (presumably the same man) as Mizukage.

So people here would agree that it would be Madara who was playing Mizukage at that time instead of Tobi?

I agree that by his hair, the man in ep. 251 appeared to be Madara. There also seems to be agreement that later, when greeting Tobi, Kisame refers to him (Tobi) as Mizukage.
