   Wow! What a chapter. Now this opens up even more questions. Kakashi is very observant to quickly deduct that using kamui on weapons and attacks would affect tobi. So tobi using kamui or a similar jutsu in general on himself. But I really hope that doesnt mean tobi is obito after months of trying to disprove that theory.

   I actually think this can confirm that one of the powers and DNA samples that Toby has stolen is of Obito.
   No it does not mean he IS Obito, but he certainly took something from him, and he’s using it to screw with kakashi’s head.

   how many times has he used kamui now? kakashi’s improved with the mangekyo wow!

   it doesn’t prove obito=tobi but kamui and tobi’s phase shift/teleport techniques are one and the same i guess. but this guy is definitely uchiha. he used some uchiha something technique.

   the way i see it, tobi get’s hit from another dimension. kamui sends the attack to the dimension where tobi transfers himself to and when he materializes–boom! the attack goes with him.

   at least now we’ll see tobi try new things.

   I don’t think it is Obito because Itachi and Tobi met before the Uchiha massacre. Plus when he fought with Konan he had two sharigan. Obito only can have one. But I do say he is an Uchiha cuase he knows where the Uchiha grave is with many other eyes are located.

   or something like this–tobi uses two jutsus dematerialize and materialize while kakashi only use one and there’s you’re opening. how it gets tobi is because kamui’s path to another dimension and tobi’s are the same. how he gets hit from another dimension is because they sort of use the same “portal”. on tobi’s way out of that “portal” he can’t help but release the attack on him as well.

   I agree with #3, about the stolen DNA or bodypart or whathaveyous.. It is a good strategy to use in combat, and back this with Tobis research (which he must have done), he is part Obito, part Madara, Part Zetsu, part ?
   And while Tobi seemed very surprised by the crack, it didn’t bother him too much, at least not until Kakashi gave his analysis of the event. When that happened, Tobi saw the four in a new light, although not too bright was the light.
   What will happen next (my theory):
   The mask will crack in two or three more places, making it possible for Naruto to remove it with a RasenShuriken. With the mask gone, Tobi will look like Obito (the part we already seen) which will make Kakashi fumble, Gai will still not know who it is, Bee and Hachibi will rap and attack and provide cover for Naruto.
   Meanwhile, Tobi will use another secret he had for this kind of emergency, Gai will lose a leg, Kakashi will be fatally injured and we wont see him for a few chapters.
   OR, the next chapter will focus on Sasuke and co, the Kages or Sakura and Ino.

   And as #4 said, Kakashi has improved, but I think it is both training and a Soldier Pill. Non-Uchiha consume more chakra than Uchiha, and Kamui drains at least as much as Amaterasu or Tsukiyomi.
   And Tobi MIGHT have a complete Kamui that doesn’t change the eye, or it is a rip from Yondaime, or another thing entirely.

    I can’t site this but i could swear i remember somewhere that kamui can be devopled by any person with a MS with enough training. Also i have a feeling maybe tobi is a realtive of obito because it seems realtives have a similar ms abilities. Another thing i have a feeling the way their gonna beat tobi is by percise timing of kakashi using his kamui and tobi space/time justu however within another 2 maybe even 3 more kamui their gonna critically wound tobi forcing him to retreat but at the cost of kakashis life

    This could be way off but it seems like when Uchiha bloodline characters reach MS they get Susanoo and Amateratsu, but since Kakashi got an MS he got Kamui. I’m thinking when non-Uchiha reach MS they get Kamui like abilities. That would mean Tobi doesn’t have to be Obito, he could just be a non-Uchiha MS users. What are your thoughts?

    @11 I talked about that a while ago, I noticed too and I do believe there is a significance to it.
    There is a pattern.
    All Uchiha sharingan users can develop the Mangekyou and achieve Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu and eventually Susanoó.
    There is not ONE non-uchiha mangekyou sharingan user with the abillity to use these jutsu. So far all they can use are the forbidden jutsu’s throught body modification (Danzo) or custom jutsu’s for each user (Kakashi and Tobi both have sharingan but none of the three original Mangekyou Sharingan jutsu’s.)
    So, yeah. I myself am pretty confident he’s a Non-Uchiha with stolen proporties (DNA, eyes ect.) from the Uchiha Clan

    @12 well shisui (spelling?) blwos ur theory right out the water both his eyes had (well u all know what it is i have no idea how to spell it not even gonna attempt it). For all we know maybe madara is sasuke and itachis grandpa and thats why hes able to use susano and we have actually yet to see him use the other 2 so how do we know he actually can use them or not

    You both make good points. So how’s this:
    Get the eye of an Uchiha, train your ass off and see what ability you get. One of the prizes are Kamui, other might get something else. The only thing required is that you have enough chakra or knowledge about eyes to keep yourself from going blind the first day of using it.
    So, both Kakashi and Tobi has enough chakra to do this and they both did their homework so no problems aside from the time the can use it. (Kakashi a few times against Pein etc).
    This poses another question: if non-Uchiha can activate MS with enough training and get Kamui, what would happen if the Uchiha trained the same amount of time? Would they get Kamui, a stronger Amaterasu or something else?
    Damn, Kishi needs to compile a book with every possible theory and explain them all.
    And @9: you may be on to something, jutsus can be related, as Chidori and Raikiri, so why not Kamui and Tobi-teleport? Nice spot

    Though I think you’re mostly right, I have to agree on Kakashi on Tobi using 1 jutsu, and not 2. I personally think Tobi’s technique and Kamui are a set: One ment to transport other objects into an other dimension, the other ment to transport yourself (and possibly other people within close range) into an other dimension. When Kakashi uses Kamui on an attack made against Tobi, Tobi has got nowhere to go. Not teleporting will result in him getting a direct hit, but teleporting will result in him getting hit in the alternative dimension.

    This doesn’t necessarily make Tobi Obito or carrying Obito’s DNA. Please note that both Itachi and Madara are capable of using Amatseru, despite being quite distant relatives. Tobi and Obito wouldn’t have to be the same person or directly related to utilize a similar Mangekyou technique.

    What REALLY grinds my gears however is why Tobi was capable of stopping Kamui on Gedou Mazou and himself (or so he claimed, way back after the Sasuke-Danzou fight) with ease, but seems unable to do so now. He knows Kakashi has figured out his technique, so you would say now is the perfect moment to interfere with Kamui. Has Tobi been bluffing and is really only the Gedou Mazou itself capable of stopping Kamui?

    Let’s ungrind your gears with a theory.
    Way back when, Tobi could control Gedou Mazu due to the fact that it didn’t have that much chakra in it. Now, it has the chakra of nine beasts, only 8 and 9-tails are incomplete. And they didn’t seal them in order so..
    1-tail is the weakest and 9-tail is the strongest (assuming), so 1-7 went fine, at 8, things got tricky but could be handled, and when Kurama got in the mix, things started to go wrong.
    Tobi has a huge amount of chakra, but is down to..74%-ish.. he had to use jutsus to counter and survive the attacks, during this time, he summoned Gedou, Gedou felt the change in the restraint, went nuts an Tobi is not able to control it as well anymore.
    This caused Tobi to lose focus for a second, which led to the crack in the mask and Gedou to rebel. So now Tobi has to deal with a borderline-rampant Gedou, a Sage-Naruto, Gai, Kakashi and Bee-ju (get it?)
    And Kamui confused Gedou, further causing Tobi to lose control. Not sure how though.

    @13 Actually that’s apretty simple explanation. Shisui’s jutsu (kotoamatsukami) was a non mangekyou sharingan jutsu. it was a normal sharing related jutsu, thats why Danzo was able to use it in its normal state.
    Second; the fact that Madara CAN use Susanoó means he can also use Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu. According Itachi’s explination, before he fought sasuke at the uchiha hideout, one can only achieve Susanoó after achieving Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu.

    @13 umm do u not remember the 4 point ms that itachis birds eye had u need the ms for it. He was probably using it but we could not see cause of bandages he had over his eye. And he didnt say that u need those 2 inorder to use susano. he “On that faithful night not only Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu were awaken but also a third justu SUSANOO” he never said they were required only that it was awakened along with them

    Also one more thing while i still have time is it me or is the 8 tails just keep getting hurt while everyone is really isnt getting hurt. Think about it got stabbed in the shoulder my gobi burned his fist now and there was something else how he got hurt but i cant think of it off the top of my head

    i have a few questions of my own:
    Does tobi have a mangekyo sharingan, because we have never seen it. And if he doesnt, wouldnt that mean he’s not obito, because kakashi has to use ms to use kamui while tobi just uses a regular sharingan when he uses his space time jutsu,

    Also has anyone else notice that danzo and tobi used a regular sharingan to activate inzangi, while itachi had to use mangekyo sharingan to use Izanami. Is izanami just a more power technique, because right now it looks like any uchiha can use inzangi. If any uchiha can use inzangi why didn’t someone use it during the uchiha massacre?!?

    Those are actually quite interesting questions you’re asking there. m suprised noone thought about that before. xD

    For the first question: Though I personally doubt Tobi is Obito, this point doesn’t necessarily mean Tobi =/= Obito. Whoever Tobi is, his knowledge about and mastery over the Sharingan is obviously superiour to that of Sasuke and Kakashi. For all we know, he could very well be capable of utilizing advanced Sharingan-based techniques without actually having to activate his Mangekyou. Note that he was capable of extinguishing Amatseru with his regular Sharingan as well, while it took Sasuke his Mangekyou to do this.

    That said, we don’t even know yet if his space-time Ninjutsu is Mangekyou based. Sure it’s centered around his eye, and seems to use the same alternative dimension as Kamui, but for all I know it has yet to be confirmed.

    As for question 2: It probably doesn’t take a Mangekyou to cast either Izanami or Izanagi, Itachi just happened to have his Mangekyou activated. Usage of Izanagi was discouraged among the Uchiha, so I’m guessing only a select few clansmen were capable of utilizing it in the first place. Those who were capable of using it only had 1 (technically 2, but they would be blind and hopeless after the second go anyway)shot due to their lack of Senju DNA which, let’s be honest, isen’t going to make a lot of difference when you’re up against the Itachi-Madara tagteam.

    As for Izanami, it takes an amount of time to prepare Itachi and Madara wouldn’t allow their opponents to take.

    Also does anyone remember sasuke’s fight with itachi when he was able to stop tskuyomi with his regular sharingan, because he mastered genjutsu? Could that be the same with kamui or was it just because sasuke and itachi were brothers?

    Also does anyone remember when kakashi first used kamui on deidara and he just transported deidara’s arm somewhere else, but not to another dimesion? does this mean that tobi’s dimension is a real place?

    Awesome chapter, I like where this fight is going. Kishi promised us Kakashi would get some extra screentime, so a great way to start it. He shows why he was nominated to be the 6th Hokage. The fact that not only Tobi’s mask showed a crack, but he got hit by a Rasengan as well goes to show Tobi has weaknesses.

    The reason Gedo is going out of control is because Tobi let it happen. He used his Jutsu to revive the Juubi, so my guess is that Gedo is transforming surely but slowly. Tobi is the one protecting it with his eye technique.

    I have to disagree with you. Kotoamatsukami is a Mangekyou technique. Danzou only used the mind control technique at the Kage summit, where the eye was hidden under his bandages. The only time wen Shisui’s eye was visible with the jutsu active was in Itachi’s crow, showing the Mangekyou form.

    It is not Obito. The Jutsu may be related to Obito, but the person behind the mask is not.

    In his latest interview Kishimoto told us that Tobi and Madara know each other very well. This could mean that Tobi got his knowledge on the Uchiha and through Madara, who could read all of the stone tablet within the Uchiha suburb.

    As for Izanagi and Izanami, they are forbidden techniques. Not many Uchiha may have known such techniques even existed. Itachi could have learned about it through Tobi/Madara as well.

His chakra reserves have always been pretty high, and the reason he is using kamui multiple times is his precise chakra control of Kamui. We know that precise chakra control is attained through practice of any technique. He collapsed earlier in the series because his mastery over it was pretty bad and he wasted chakra that he didnt need to. Now he can use it to the point that he only needs the minimal amount of chakra needed, and can utilize the alternate dimension at will now. Tobis mastery of space-time ninjutsu far surpasses kakashi’s. He’s basically a master at using kamui on himself and on other people(through contact only) This is where kakashi’s kamui differs. I think senju dna seriously augments the power of the uchiha eyes.

    tobi used izanagi for 10 WHOLE MINUTES vs konan. This is unheard of for regular uchiha, who usually have it for seconds at most. Danzo only had one minute per eye with senju dna. Tobi without a doubt has senju dna in him, along with a high mastery of the sharingan, allowing him to use the full extent of izanagi. I think tobi is part zetsu because his limbs leak white substance like zetsu and part senju, with sharingan and rinnegan mastery. Madara aquired the rinnegan in his lifetime by getting hashirama’s dna. The evolution is not natural. The uchiha and senju are the two parts that equal rikuddou power. If you aquire both, you get insane abilities/stamina. Look at the gold and silver brothers. They were probably distant senju like naruto, which is why they could handle eating fox meat. Hence, tobi and his insane abilities/stamina. Wonder what would happen if kakahshi or itachi aquired senju dna? They would be gods like naruto and tobi.

    i think everyone in akatsuki has some zetsu technique in them for protection. i still can’t agree that tobi is part zetsu. maybe he just has some of zetsu’s regeneration technique placed on him. the zetsu’s who copied neji and everyone else didn’t leak white stuff right?

    i think they could aim the kamui at the last part tobi dematerializes.the “exit point” of his phasing. they should try aiming at the face.

    awesome chapter at last they figure out tobi’s ninjutsu’s weakness.i think that’s not the last we have seen from tobi.in the next chapter i think we are gonna see the rinnegan in action.i wanted to see killer bee in action he is just hurling people around here and there.
    @30 the two justsus kakashi is talking about is dematerialization and his ability to make things appear and disappear.ithink kakashi and tobi’s dimension is either interlinked or the path to that dimension.when tobi dematerializes he sends his body mass to another dimension’ kakashi activates kamui on an object the both objects hit each other and when tobi materializes the after effects deal damage to tobi.yes it was naruto’s rasengan that hit tobi.
    and for everyone that thinks shisui didnot have mangekyou sharingan i think they are wrong.each person gets a differnt jutsu when he activates the ms and these are inherited.although susanoo is common that is awakened by awakening the ms in both eyes.

    @30 originally kakashi had thought tobi was using a jutsu to dematerialize into one dimension then another jutsu to materialize back. what kakashi deduces is that tobi is only using one jutsu and that his space time jutsu and kamui are linked if not the same. Remember in the previous chapter the raikiri charged kunai that kakashi threw to force tobi to phase? Well when he sent it away using kamui and tobi phased thru naruto, the kunai scratched his mask in the other dimension. So when kakashi used kamui on naruto’s rasengan and tobi phased through naruto again, guess what was waiting for him in the other dimension? Lol kakashi is such a great ninja

    After reading the chapter and watching previous episodes here is my theory:

    Does anyone else remember when Sasuke could only use chidori twice a day, but then he mastered. This is the same with kakashi’s kamui.

    I think madara made tobi watch over nagato after he died, because tobi said he gave nagato the rinnegan and told yahiko to form the akatsuki.

    Kamui can be learned by anyone with a mangekyo sharingan if they train hard enough. I think it is safe to say that Madara was the strongest uchiha ever, so he should know how to use kamui. This makes me think that tobi is just a clone of madara using the power of the 1st hokage as a median. Since he is just a clone he doesnt have a ms, but some of madara abilities (kamui) Madara also created zetsu.

    Also next chapter I think tobi is going to try something new, since kakashi figure out his jutsu or he will reveal himself since they have proven their worth

    i dont kno why ppl are saying that kamui can be used by anyone with the mangekyo, thats not true, we wouldve seen sasuke, itachi, n madara use it by now, only tobi has a tech. thats even close to it and we havent even seen his mangekyo yet

    @36 well lets see sasuke has had his ms for what 2 or 3 months tops. People also claim madara can use tsukoyomi and amaterasu i have yet to see him use either of those either. as for itachi the guy barely had the charka reserves to use each of the ms tech 1 per day and then he died so i doubt he trained very much into mastering an ability he really didnt need

    @35 Well first i must say that is a nice theory but i must prove some things wrong. Firstly, Sasuke didnt “master” chidori to a point he could use it multiple times. I belive (if my memory is correct) that Kakashi or Yamato said that Orochimaru experimented on Sasuke giving him a wide immunization to poison and also allowed him to use chidori multiple times. Second, I disagree that EVERY uchiha can use kamui. I believe that it was Obito’s own unique Mangekyo technique. To me it appears that each Uchiha gets his own unique Mangekyo techniques, Shisui with Koto Amatsukyomi, Obito with Kamui, and Itachi with Amaterasu and Tsukyomi. You all say that any uchiha can activate Tsukyomi and Amaterasu but i say is there really any proof to that? There isnt. Those were Itachis own unique skills. “Oh but Sasuke has them so all uchiha must be able to activate them!” Guys, the only reason Sasuke has them is because Itachi GAVE them to him. Tobi said so when Sasuke was tied up. “But Tobi put out the Amaterasu when Sasuke blasted him so he must have it too!” I dont think so, I think that since the Amaterasu hit tobis mask i think tobi teleported to his other dimension and threw off his mask which simply burned up into ash, ending the Amaterasu. I mean its possible right? He probably has a bunch of extra masks in case something happened to the original so he slipped on a new one. I believe Tobi teleported because for one when he slipped into the darkness we couldnt hear him moving around anymore or his screams. But thats just my opinion. Anyways, i do however believe that any uchiha can activate Susanoo. Oh well let me know what you guys think.

    @39 i agree with ur idea that each uchiha gets his own ms tech or if i may expand that family have the same techs. However on susano tobi said it was extremely rare for a uchiha to unlock susanoo. Also itachi only implanted one amaterasu in sasuke cause other than that first time every other time hes used it its been his own ms showing and not itachis. Also tobi probably does have a bunch of spare masks just in case

    @39 and 40 maybe u guys are right about how the techniques run in the family, but we wont truly know until we know izuna and madara ms abilities or until we find out who/what tobi is. It also makes sense about tobi absorbing amaterasu instead of extinguishing them, because he was really quiet. But i do think that with madara being so strong and being one of the first to awaken the ms he might have kamui or maybe he has all of them, that would be cool 🙂

    Ok boys and girls… this is just like a classic movie move… Tell us a name…Sarutobi Sasuke… Why was he mentioned.. It was told us that he was a great warrior by the Uchia clans leaders wife… Sasuke’s mother and father named him after him… Also, when the first attack of the Demon Fox… Itachi was tending to Sauske… wondering where his parents were… it interesting on how they brought those aspects up like that… Is tobi a combination of the two together??

    Also.. a thought… the demensional space that the Uchia and Kakashi uses, could it be that all the space is all connected… When two people are using the same jutsu and transporting things into them… if a person is occupying it, and say Kakashi sends someting in to it… like with the knife… the half in the other dimension gets cut… then when it resolifies the damage appears… kinda like with in the movie ” the Chronicles of Riddick” when he kills the final boss…

    Oh.. by the way.. How did Tobi get all of those Uchia eyes… that wall look like nearly the whole clans worth…

    @38 thats what i’m sayin, why assume everyone with a mangekyo can use kamui when it has only been kakashi to use it, n tobi to show a link with it, based on sasuke n itachi being brothers and having the same techs i assume tobi has obitos right eye or is a sibling of his because of the link between kamui and tobis time/space tech.

    @42 i highly doubt tobi is a hermaphrodite version of sasukes parents, n he got those eyes during the uchiha massacre

    @42 u do know his name was Sasuke Sarutobi and he was the thirds father and sasukes mom named him that hoping he would be a great shinobi like him. he was no connection to the uchiha

    @44 Thats interesting to note. I think thats because Kakashi’s left eye has the sharingan so since your left eye looks at the right side of another person’s body maybe thats why.

    @44 the rasengan that was kamui’d could only hit the part that he was phasing currently so if naruo was passing through his head at the time then tobi would have had his head blown away 😀

    Guys, you’re writing pretty much on this manga.

    First, the MS users we know are very powerful shinobi, it was said somewhere during the story that not even all Uchiha can awaken Sharingan, Obito himself had some problems activating his Sharingan too.

    MS techniques are unique and may depend on the user from what branch does he come. Kamui may have been a rare jutsu possessed by only few Uchiha members.

    What if Kamui and Tobi’s Teleportation technique is combined? By the way, Tobi having two Sharingan during the fight with Konan doesn’t mean he was born with those two -> Sharingans in his laboratory.

    @11: If your theory was right, Obito wouldn’t have got Kamui as an MS technique. But it’s pretty obvious that two eyes can evolve only in one way.

    @49 there is a huge difference between obito and oro. oro is a major villian and a huge plot driver. Obito was a minor character that played a important role in kakashi life postmortum but thats about it
