Seems that the fillers will extend until at least Spring according to a speech given by the Studio Pierrot producer first detailed here. This would be in line with the idea that this whole season will consist of filler, with Kakashi Gaiden at the end. This would mean the season would end around March/April 2006 and then Part Two of the anime would start. This would give the anime more than enough time to get ahead. Especially as the manga is just now finishing an arc.
Not suprized, glad to a certain degree. Especially cause the Kakashi Gaiden arc will be done. I can deal with fluff for a while.

I was happy with the current one with Raiga, even though for him being one of the Seven Swords is lame, but at least, they’ll do Kakashi’s story of how he got his Sharingan, and all. ^_^
The fillers could last longer for all I care, as long as they are good.

actually I think it’s like 23 eps… slightly sobering though that they WILL be doing Kakashi Gaiden… -_-; at least there wil be the manga to tie us over till than… the fillars don’t seeem that bad now that there is an end in sight… at leaset we know that they aren’t going to last forever now…

the rurouni kenshin anime was ruined by a season full of fillers…i don’t think the same thing will happen here, but it could be a definite blight on the series.

Nobody said that they’ll put kakashi gaiden just before the timeskip. There is a chance they make an OAV out of it and put the timeskip imidiately after all these fillers.

Wel lthink about it, it’s not like all the fillers are going to be before the times skip. They might do another chunnin exam, showing how everyone graduated from Gennin to Chunnin, then do something with Neiji and show him graduating from Chunnin to Jounin.

Well the fillers have to be boring because if they say one thing like for example and this is a little exagerated but narutos hand gets cut off, well then it completely messes up the story and i think some point in time the will do something on the shinobi seven and raiga arc messed it up, Maybe i should be like a bear and go into hibernation then winter will pass b y and naruto will come in a flash, everythings quicker when you sleep

Are they still planning to do Kakashi Gaiden and Part II? I hope so, and if they are, any idea when the filler will end?

We have titles through the middle of August. It’s almost an absolute certainty the Gaiden will be animated. It’s just a question of when, I shouldn’t be guessing, but if I HAD to guess, I would say September is looking good for the fillers to end. Could be wrong.
