Everybody this is the 7th yes 7th filler arc so far in Naruto Shippuden. Let that sink in for a minute and then think about this. The manga is still a good 60+ chapter lead on the anime. Why they continue with these fillers ill never know. Although this may just maybe a good filler. At least this is something the fans have wanted to see.

Any Young Kakashi filler is a good one, but yeah the amount of fillers are high. It may even be the third one during the war.

I dunno but recently the manga is moving pretty slowly, and I think I read the plan was that this would be the last filler this year.

I heard on Saiyanisland that after this filler – however long that may be, they will continue with canon for the duration of 2014. That excites me. So a month or so of filler will not annoy me. We have to take the good with the bad. At the very least, we can be glad the show has not been canceled.

Technically it’s not a filler. It’s expanding the story and all in all not that bad.

@2 Well if you think about it.. the only way to really identify whether it’s filler or not is if you follow the manga. If you follow the manga then you know what happens so it doesn’t hit you as hard as the only anime people. And unless the arc is horrible, then most anime people wouldn’t mind. This is just my opinion as a former anime only person.
Nevertheless, this arc seems interesting. I like it so far.

why cant they make these fillers seem like real episodes. I do not read the manga but it is always easy to tell if it is a filler ,although these episodes can be part of the story if done better!

I can already see people shipping orochimaru and danzo after that little stunt. Shame on you danzo, you are the worst of all the villians.

@1
I wouldn’t call this filler. This is actually canon, past events which the manga has not unfolded completely. I’m glad the animators decided to use the Obito flashbacks from the manga and extend them this far. With all due respect, you could also appreciate that instead of complaining that this is the “7th filler arc” (which is just an extended flashback).

@9 im complaining because well i just really do not like fillers and i did say at least it is the kakashi back story which is something we have been wanting to see. So if it had to be a filler im at least glad it is this topic.

@UchihaDomo
I know all of that. I used to be an anime only person up until the Sora PsudoJinchuriki arc. That one was just so bad I had to start reading the Manga.
@MisticVegeta
Though I do agree in that, the fact that Kishi may not even have given it a canon thumbs up I must say that is not a given. But yeah I like to think most of the Young Kakashi fillers are at least more canon than the other fillers. Besides that, its nice to know how he became so legendary 🙂
