Hate to be pedantic here but really… Sarada thinks Karin is her mother because of the glasses she wears? Glasses have nothing to do with genes(sigh!).. My local optician has 50 frames that look identical.

Anyway this doesn’t seem to be the point of this gaiden. Kishi got naruto and hinata story in the movie. This must be about sasuke and sakura.

@Namikaze: Thing is though nether Sasuke and Sakura wear glasses and Sarada does look a bit like Karin. While it is possible that Sarada wearing glasses isn’t genetic I feel like in her case it might be.

@2 & 3: Poor eyesight isnt always inherited. Sometimes people with bad eyesight have kids with good eyesight, sometimes the other way around.

What I saw that was interesting was the “genetic test” which seemed kind of forced into this chapter. Even though her DNA might be matching Karins doesnt make me a believer. Does anyone else recall how Sasuke was always biting Karin to heal? Maybe that “ability” somehow also mixed some of her DNA into Sasuke and then from there into his future child Sarada.

I still stick with my previous thought that had Sasuke and Karin hooked up Sarada wouldnt be with Sakura.

I think sarada is karin and sasuke daughter in a way then again she might not be. Hear me out. I remember when sasuke was injured during his fight with deibara and had to rest up but due to orochimaru healing abilities it was fast but he still had down time with heibi (taka old name). But going through town karin was thinking of ways to seduce sasuke and once they where all together and sasuke always ignoring her affection as always suigetsu said he knows what she did to sasuke and as he went to keep talking she hit him. Anyone remembers that? It was either then or when sasuke and suigetsu went to get her and she locked the door and tried to seduce sasuke. And suigetsu all buff like on one side split the door with zabuza sword. (Which we never get to see what or how suigetsu did that because it never was shown again kishimoto!) But to the point I think karin STOLE sasuke’s sperm and implemented it into herself. I know it sounds twisted but it’s karin! She was beyond obsessed with sasuke as seen when she was locked up and going coo-coo on rather too continue to love sasuke or kill him due to almost killing her to kill danzou. And then my last theory is when sasuke was injured badly by the haichiba by a severe close line removing sasuke’s chest,and karin let him bite her to repair ripped out flesh. Her DNA had to play a part in given him fresh flesh (if that makes any sense) in repairing him in mid battle against bee. It will explain how sasuke’s able to use the rinnegan as well even though the old guy, forgot his name, gave him the ability he still needs uchiha and uzumaki lineage. Karin is from uzumaki lineage and sasuke already being uchiha explains it perfectly. Those are my only two theory but I’m pushing more towards the first, which I hate I read the manga start to finisg and really wanted sasuke and sakura to be the final and have a child ino and sakura was fighting forever for him then out of no where karin joins the quarrel that’s messed up in my opinion. Yea sakura got him in the end married and what not, but karin wins with getting a baby with him tf kishi?
