this is a bit of a spoiler, so dont read my comment if u havent read the chapter yet..
cliffhanger(s).. i dunno if u can call the asuma story in this chapter a cliffhanger because he was about to say something to his dad.. and then kakashi told naruto about the what ninjutsu his ganna make.. but when he was about to say how they should train.. they cut it to the next scene..hahah..i like this chapter though..

Oh man,this was a good chapter…and yea,it was good findin out more about Asuma,he’s cool.As for Kakuzu and Hidan,DAMN! just how strong are these two?!..Anywayz,I liked the chapter,Naruto finally startin his training,but ofcourse draggin it out to the next chapter,can’t wait! 😀

i think that naruto’s attack is going to be that red resengan, since “naruto can alter its shape but not nature”, the nature is going to be fire or something like that.

i wished he would learb a different jutsu not just resengan in a different shape ~pout~
and i wanna see kakuzu fight not just run after a monk!
it was very good to know that the aka get payed and dont just run around capturing jinchuuiki for free :p

Dman you rasengan fan boys, Kakashi said it himself, rasengan only meets 1 of the requirments, so no matter how it gets changed rasengan cant be naruto’s ultimate jutsu
Also, you really dont think Akatsuki just run around catching strong ninja just for fun dont you…
Kakuzu really could have been banned from hidden waterfell for trying to sell the hero water for cash.

It will be cool when this stuff is animated as it may show more of those action scenes than just them running into battle. ^_^

definately interesting. glad to see Asuma has a sign of back story behind him. maybe we’ll get Kurenai’s soon.
as for Hidan and Kakuzu, I like where it’s going with them. And I love the constant bickering between them, makes for good entertainment.
dunno what to think about Kakashi’s training. I like the idea about altering the shape and nature of chakra, I’m just iffy about the whole shortening time thing. I just hope that’s not gonna be something completely pulled out of the butt

You know I’m a major naruto nerd when I understand what Kakashi is talking about when he explains “altering the shape and nature” and naruto doesn’t. Or maybe NAruto is a complete retard. Hmmm…. And it appears as if Kazuku and Hidan have more to them than I thought. They are definatly one of the more interesting characters in the series so far. And it’s interesting to see what Asuma’s story is, I’ve always wondered about him…And I can’t wait to see naruto’s training. IF this new jutsu is stronger than Rasengan and Chidori, it’s GOTTA BE F-ing awesome. Good chapter…I hated how they cut away from everything though DX. I hate cliffhangers period. Was i the only one who though it was a shock to find out Asuma was Sarutobi’s son? Or did it say something about that earlier in the series and I just missed it? ALSO, does that mean Konohamaru is Asuma’s son (and asuma is married to….Kurenai perhaps ;)…I think they are a good couple…)!?! So many questions, so little answers….Good chapter all in all. Heck of a lot better than the recent naruto episode….

yea it was a shocker for me too,finding out Asuma was the Third’s son,but hey,never thought that Konohamaru may be his son! *blink,blink*…unless he had a brother or sister and that’s Konohamaru’s father/mother,then dang,I’m even more interested in finding out more about Asuma,heh 😛

I feel that asuma will have a major role later in the story. maybe fighting with hidan and kakuzu. think he might die also

Asuma could just be Konohamaru’s uncle. Doesn’t have to be his father.

I just did the math, and Asuma (who is 28 according to this site) would have had to been 19 to be Konohamaru’s father (who addording to this site is 9). So yes, it is a possibility, but we do not know. And if he is not, then who is Asuma’s brother or sister? Could it have been one of those monks?? AND if you wanna get REALLY technical, I believe that in some religions, monks arent allowed to…uhh…do the thing that makes babies. Ahh…I hate pondering about these things, I just make more questions and confusion for myself!!-_-

I was always really confused about the sarutobi thing. Always talking about a sarutobi, making me wonder, who the hell is sarutobi, the third or asuma lol.

I think that Kakashi’s training is going to involve using his sharingan in some way to alter time. If you remember Kakashi was developing his sharingan over the last 3 years. Also I hope that Naruto doesn’t just learn a powerful new jutsu that is like a one shot one kill kind of thing. He also needs to become an all around stronger ninja.

Hmm… I thought Sarutobi was Sandaime’s first name and Sarutobi was Asuma’s last name… and since Sandaime is Asuma’s father… is his name Sarutobi Sarutobi? O.o

Sarutobi could be just Sandaime’s clan name… in asian culture, it’s a practice to address someone honorable by his family name

Kakuzu is a greedy guy.. tried selling the hero water (hihi ^^), kills people for bountys and stuff… that’s the charming part of him =)
Hidan is a religious fanatic that has to do his ritual everytime he kills someone, he has a bad sense of humor and he is pretty short compared to Kakuzu… I wish I had them as buddies ^^
and another thing that’s been on my mind is why Asuma has that firesymbol on his clothes.. maybe he’s a guardian for those poor (now dead) monks or he was formerly a monk but had to leave because he smokes too much ^^

Sandaime isn’t the Thirds first name it’s a nick name meaning 3rd lord. San meaning 3 and daime is short for daimyo meaning feudal lord. The same goes for the Forth, Yon is four in Japanese so Yondaime means fourth lord.

Well, Orochimaru calls Sandaime “Sarutobi-sensei” and I highly doubt he still respects Sandaime with him trying to kill Sandaime and all…

i hate those 2 akatsuki’s If ever orochimaru encountered them those 2 akatsuki will surely beg for mercy.! Orochimaru is the powerful ninja in konoha even akatsuki can’t stand a chance to him.

I think Naruto is going to create a jutsu with the nature of the fox chakra and i wouled like to see the fox being a personal summon for Naruto that would be awesome

Asuma should have more jutsu since he was an elite back in the day. Naruto’s Jutsu is going to be powerful,pulsing, and perverted, anytime Naruto came up with a freelanced jutsu is always perverted.
