And then we can put that discussion to rest, you need both Senju and Uchiha DNA to get Rinnengan. And Madara was the one to give Nagato the Rinnengan.

@kross i feel like this chapter has finally answered many questioned that we have been wondering (safe for why kakashi killed rin) im sure he will give us a reason soon. I’m really hoping that this was the last flash back chapter and the next one we will get back to the fight finally. That or the next chapter will be a flash back of obitos actions as tobi such as recurting nagato, the nine tails attack and all those other things he has done as tobi. I’m really hoping that it goes back to the fight.

@NarutoBoy17 I hear ya. I am torn personally between going back to the fight or seeing the main events he did from his perspective/ things we don’t even know much or anything about. But going back to the fight is what most likely will end up with telling Kakashi`s reason for killing Rin so my hope is there as it is something that have been bugging me since it happened, as I can not see Kakashi killing her in cold blood.

Well glad that argument of the rinnegan is clear. Also we now know where black zetsu came from as well as where gedo came from (and what it really is). And as far as obito, I as well hope the next chapter explains obito’s actions as tobi and what not. Also this rin situation is really starting to bug me lol. I just wanna kno why kakashi did what he did.

I too am curious about Obito’s point of view when acting as Madara. To be honest, this chapter gave me sympathy for both Madara and Obito. I don’t think that they are truly evil deep down. Their intentions are good, they want to change the world for the better. Madara even called Obito “the savior of this world”. It’s exactly like Itachi told Sasuke. Correct and true are merely vague concepts. It’s the way we assume situations and things that makes us decide what is either good or evil. I think this fight is going to end in a way none of us are expecting.

@MisticVegeta Not that I ever seen TNJ or PNJ like that myself but I think Madara, Obito and Naruto cooperating would fall within both.

Well that’s the whole point. He does not do it for the memory of Rin. He is doing it to create a world where he can bring Rin back to life and where nobody will die. A dream world where everything is possible.
There is one thing I don’t seem to understand though. The plan is to put the whole world under a big genjutsu using the Juubi’s chakra. But how does that work? If the Juubi is revived, having the power of all nine Bijuu, isn’t it likely to go on a rampage? Madara will need his ocular power to both control the creature AND create a genjutsu on the whole world. Doesn’t that take like almost every ounce of chakra he has? (Aside from the fact his chakra is unlimited due to an Edo Tensei body?

this chapter was the one i was waiting for although i still want to know why kisame calls him the third mizukage and if its because of his actions to control the fourth why isnt the third mizukage listed in the list of mizukages.i would be very glad to see the recruitment of all the members of akatsuki also and also by reading the previous chapters i am developing hatred towards minato.its because of that son of a bitch that obito nearly died and now its rin.10/10 to this chapter.

So did Madara seal his power into Nagato like Itachi did to Sasuke before he died the first time, and if that is not the case, then how was Nagato summoned with the Rinnegan if they aren’t his true eyes, so many plot holes, so little time

Darn i wanted to see why Kakashi killed Rin.
Those other ninjas where after Rin for something i want to know what.
The rest well you could kinda predict that he would return to Madara and that he took his place we alrdy known aswell. Interesting part was the creation of black Zetzu tho.

@tro thats true wasnt really expecting that to be the creation of black zetsu. @jiriya478 showing the recuritment of the other members would be a very good use of the next chapter but idk about the rest of u guys but once a flash back hits its 5th or 6th chapter i start craving for it to go back to the actual story line. However i have a feeling like with kabtuo now that we know the story behind tobi kishi is going to kill him off soon or just make him irrvelent

5/5 pretty good but it lacks any action because I start to hate flashbacks too after a while like @Narutoboy17 does so maybe next time they can give us a cliffhanger on where sasuke and oro are; the only thing that i want to know is why kakashi did it and hen we could pretty much move on XDt

Ok so obito see’s kakashi “kill” Rin and he lets him live? While Obito may not be truly evil he is very selfish. Killing people and attacking his sensei’s pregnant wife all for a world where he can create a fake “rin” in some genjutsu. Still waiting for kakashi’s response to obito and the initial fight. Didnt like the chapter much BUT Naruto wasn’t in it so that was a plus

Honestly, flashbacks are really interesting because it helps understand motives and reveals more about characters, which is pretty awesome. I want more of these chapters.

@11 How could you ever be mad at the 4th? Like regardless of anything that happens / is happening, I don’t think I could ever finding myself viewing him in the wrong. He went through so much, planned ahead so much, did way too much for me to ever consider him in any negative way. Sure, my opinion of him could get lower considering Kishi could pull anything right now, but I would never think badly of him.

I agree with Aeneas. Don’t forget that when Obito was crushed, Minato made Kakashi leader of the squad, who was promoted to Jounin. You can’t blame Minato for putting trust in his pupil. Minato was also the one who took out all the Hidden Stone shinobi after Kakashi threw the Flying Thunder God Kunai.
At the time of Rin’s death, it is very possible Minato is already Hokage. And since Kakashi is a jounin, there is no need for Minato to deal with his old team constantly. He has bigger issues to attend, like stabilizing the Hidden Leaf, maintaining peace with other Kages and all that formal stuff. So indeed, blaming Minato for this is kind of wrong.
Plus, if all this didn’t happen, we wouldn’t have a story. Naruto would have had his parents, Kushina would have been Kurama’s jinchuuriki, the Uchiha Clan wouldn’t have been murdered and Sasuke would still be happy with his brother and parents. Heck, knowing Kushina and Mitoko were friends, Sasuke and Naruto would have been the same in that turn of events.

@soS I don’t know if he needs the Uchiha DNA since it was transplanted, but I doubt he could gain that level of control without it but Madara could just as easy transplanted some of his flesh into Nagato as well.

Nagato does not need the Uchiha DNA. His Senju lineage was enough for him to handle the Rinnegan’s jutsu. To unlock the Rinnegan, both Uchiha and Senju DNA are required, but not to use the Rinnegan’s powers. I think that is why Nagato eventually got stuck in that tank he was in when attacking Konoha, with all the blacks rods sticking out his back.

@Aeneas7 first off love the name. Second i agree i mean the fourth did so much and truely loved his wife, son and village. Secondly @mystic vegeta i know im being nit picky hear but tech nagato does have uchiha eyes in him with a senju body. Also those black rods they are what he uses to control the gedo statue remember in his fight with hanzo thats when they were embedded into his body. Finally @luna-des honestly while i usually do read all of the posts i only really pay attention to the people who have a real name stake in this site. I mean dont get me wrong i do read them but usually expect for the regular commentors most people that comment are either trolls or are just saying stuff as quoted from john stewart straight from the top of bull**** mountain prime example that uchiha izuna guy.

Can’t believe we’re still mentioning that guy. But yes you’re right. The black rods were embedded within Nagato to control Gedou Mazou. What I’m wondering is why Madara and Obito don’t have them sticking out their backs? I truly think the prior task of those rods are to control the Six Paths of Pain. Nagato and Obito used them for that exact purpose.
Aside from that: I hope Kishi will continue with the flashbacks of Obito acting as Madara. A little skip to the present as a break would do, but I get the feeling there is a lot more than this to it.
Lastly, your John Stewart reference was great, credits for that. I like the Daily Show lol.

Next week chapter is about d guy that know everything.oroch,term taka meeting him and i think everything we saw was planed by madara b/c i don’t buy d kakashi killing rin.everything about rin’s death looks like d mist ninja’s look weak anpu are certain to be top class ninjas and obito killed them like they are genin

@25 tbh I didn’t want to use him again but I couldn’t think of anyone off the top of my head who would be a prime example of someone from this site taking their info from the top of bull**** mountain and omg I like u a thousand times more for saying u love the daily show did u see last nights with Obama? Ok back to naruto I think the reason why Nagato had the rods coming out of his back is because of the way he first used the statue to take away people’s souls that or maybe u are right that u need them to control the dead people by supplying them with Charka.

Must say loving these flashbacks and how its all coming together, but it made me wonder what all our reactions would have been like if we never had the interview from kishi saying what was coming up I don’t know if anybody else feels the same? 🙂

Well Kishi didn’t reveal that much… Only that Obito and Madara knew each other and that Kakashi would get a lot of screen time.

Why didn’t obito just get Nagato to use rinne tensei to get Rin back? I guess he really was a little insane. But you gotta wonder what Madara really plans to do with the infinite tsukyomi. Create a world where he is the ruler and has unimaginable power? Sounds likely because he is definitely not one to care about bettering the world, but rather his obsession with power, which leads me to believe he is doing this for self gain.

Because if Obito did, Rin could get killed again. In the Infinite Tsukiyomi, anything is possible. Including true immortality. Therefor Rin would never die again.

Well obviously once.its activated it would be hard to believe u need both to control the Rinnegan. Uneed both to activate it but since Nagato lacks Uchiha blood (unless Madara implanted that as well excluding the eyes as previously stated) then I suppose only one is needed much like Obito can control the Gedo without the Rinnegan but from a different aspect. What im still trying to get is what the black rod Madara left is for. Are those the chakra receivers Nagato and Obito use? Or.something else?

I think the reason why Obito and Madara do not need to use the black rods is because they both have Uchiha DNA and Senju DNA, while Nagato only had Senju DNA which was enough to use the rinnegan but not enough to control the six paths without the rods.

Obito did use the rods with the jinchuuriki. Naruto removed them when Kurama and him fully synched for the first time.

hey guys i just thought of something not sure if anyone else has said it but anyone think maybe kakashi killed her because he knew they couldnt win and instead of having them both be taken hostage and tortured for their info he decided to spare her of that fate so she wouldnt suffer and only he would be taken

hmm….im having a vision….maybe after the fight and obito lost,while laying on the ground he will ask kakashi y did he kill rin,maybe she’s a kid spy for the mist…maybe sasuke will help against madara…after madara defeated,sasuke and naruto will fight…after that…tsunade dies,she entrust naruto with the title hokage…if he wins…and everything fastforwards when they all grew into adults…hokage naruto standing at his fathers statue face…the end…this is a theory though
